WellMed, part of the Optum family, seeks a field-based Certified Medical Assistant to support providers in patient care across home and mobile settings. You will perform CMA duties, travel with providers, and ensure proper documentation and quality controls.

Requirements include high school/GED, MA certification, CPR, and the ability to travel. Bilingual in English/Spanish is a plus. Competitive benefits and a comprehensive pay package advertised.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Current Medical Assistant certification or registration; must obtain within 90 days.
• Current CPR certification or must obtain within 30 days.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.
• ICD-10 and CPT coding knowledge.
• Basic computer literacy.
• Ability to travel frequently within assigned market.
• Reliable transportation for daily travel.

Responsabilités

• Perform CMA duties including injections, diagnostic testing, and phlebotomy.
• Coordinate healthcare screening results as directed by providers and policies.
• Travel with provider to patient homes, mobile units, and other sites.
• Complete quality program health screenings per required metrics.
• Document patient care accurately in medical records.
• Support physicians and nursing staff in patient care activities.
• Review patient information and test results prior to patient departure.
• Maintain supplies and ensure infection control standards.
