Job summary

Syner-G is seeking a Project Engineer to support capital projects across facility, infrastructure, and construction initiatives. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering (mechanical, electrical, chemical, civil, industrial, or related discipline) required.
• EIT certification or progress toward licensure is a plus.
• 1–3 years of experience supporting capital projects, construction projects, facility upgrades, or engineering design efforts.
• Experience in regulated or complex environments such as biotech, pharmaceutical, industrial, or advanced manufacturing is preferred.
• Exposure to design development, procurement, construction, commissioning, or turnover is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Support engineering and technical activities across capital projects, ensuring alignment with project requirements, design intent, and construction execution plans.
• Review design drawings, specifications, submittals, RFIs, and technical documentation for accuracy and compliance.
• Support field engineering activities including site walks, construction coordination, equipment verification, and issue resolution.
• Help maintain project schedules by tracking engineering deliverables, construction progress, and technical dependencies.
• Assist with project controls activities such as cost tracking, quantity verification, procurement coordination, and change documentation.
• Coordinate with design firms, contractors, vendors, and internal teams to resolve technical questions and issues.
• Prepare engineering logs, meeting minutes, action items, and technical reports.
• Support commissioning and turnover activities including punch list development, equipment testing coordination, and documentation review.
• Assist with risk identification, issue tracking, and mitigation planning.
• Ensure project activities comply with codes, standards, and internal procedures.
• Support development of project documentation including work plans, technical summaries, and engineering packages.
• Provide general engineering and project support to project managers and senior engineers.
