Job summary

The Fairness Project in California is seeking energetic field organizers to recruit, train, and manage paid canvassers and phone bankers for campaign initiatives. You will oversee day-to-day operations of a field office and ensure campaigns engage voters effectively.

Ideal candidates bring a valid driver's license, willingness to relocate to Fullerton, Santa Ana, Anaheim, Irvine and nearby areas (housing/travel provided), and proven field experience.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver's license.
• Willingness to relocate to Fullerton, Santa Ana, Anaheim, Irvine and nearby areas (housing/travel provided).
• At least one full field campaign cycle of experience.
• Strong commitment to politics and enthusiasm for elections.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.
• Experience with voter files.
• Experience using predictive dialers.
• Discipline and solutions-oriented attitude toward tasks.
• Ability to train paid canvassers and volunteers.
• Excellent listening, speaking, and written communication skills.
• Strong organizational, management, and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, train, and manage paid canvassers and phone bankers.
• Train canvassers and phone bankers to represent campaigns and collect information accurately.
• Handle day-to-day operations of a campaign field office.
• Develop leaders to support phone banks, canvasses, voter registration drives, and events.
• Meet voter contact and canvasser recruitment goals.
• Conduct outreach to constituency groups and allied organizations.
• Represent the campaign at community meetings and events.
• Provide accurate progress reports toward goals.
• Monitor and report canvasser payroll in the field.
• Cut turf and provide administrative support on a dialer.
