Job summary

Transcat is seeking a calibration technician to perform onsite calibration of test equipment within Minnesota and nearby regions. The role involves frequent overnight travel, with lodging and expenses covered by the company.

Responsibilities include calibrating MTE to manufacturer specs, identifying out-of-tolerance conditions, and maintaining thorough service documentation. Candidates should have an associate degree or equivalent experience and strong customer service skills.

Qualifications

• Calibration experience and/or training with measurement and test equipment.
• 3+ years driving experience with a valid driver’s license and acceptable history.
• Associate degree or 2-5 years related field experience.
• Ability to follow written instructions and work with minimal supervision.
• Good customer service and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Calibrate measurement and test equipment (MTE) to manufacturers specifications.
• Determine out of tolerance conditions for customer MTE and calibration standards.
• Provide corrective action for out of tolerance conditions.
• Update and maintain proper documentation of services.
• Provide information regarding other services and new equipment offered by Transcat.
• Maintain calibration standards.
• Provide feedback and updates regarding calibration practices and procedures.
• Proficiency in submitting and updating required paperwork for travel and administrative purposes.
• Other duties as assigned.
