Job summary

HNTB is seeking a Bridge Inspection Engineer to support field inspections of highway bridges, primarily in central Pennsylvania, with occasional statewide travel. You will contribute to reports and load rating analyses, aiding project delivery for a diverse client base.

The role emphasizes 70% field work, with potential design or drafting tasks, and requires a Bachelor’s in Engineering with related experience (Master’s degree with 1 year also acceptable).

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering with 2 years of relevant experience, or Master's degree with 1 year.
• Experience inspecting highway bridges.
• Proficiency applying engineering, geometric and algebraic principles.

Responsibilities

• Completes assigned work within the schedule and hours provided.
• Prepares and modifies project reports, plans, designs and calculations.
• Develops project quantities and assists with cost estimates.
• Assists with organization and administrative support of design files.
• Performs field investigations and supports design or drafting tasks.
