Job summary

CornerStone Staffing seeks an experienced Biomedical Technician for calibration, testing, and repair of biomedical test equipment in healthcare, labs, and medical-device environments. You will travel to customer sites—onsite and in field-based settings—to perform verification, calibration, and documentation while ensuring traceability and compliance.

The ideal candidate has strong electronics/metrology background, 5+ years in biomedical service, and comfort working independently across hospitals

Qualifications

• 5+ years of biomedical equipment service, calibration, metrology, electronics, or related technical field.
• Strong ability to read and interpret calibration procedures, manuals, and specifications.
• Excellent documentation and communication skills for service reports and customer interaction.

Responsibilities

• Perform calibration, verification, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, diagnosis, and repair of biomedical test and measurement equipment.
• Service equipment such as electrical safety analyzers, patient simulators, defibrillator analyzers, infusion pump analyzers, ventilator testers, and other measurement devices.
• Conduct onsite and laboratory-based calibration services following procedures and manufacturer specs.
• Verify equipment performance using calibration standards and test procedures.
• Maintain traceability and proper handling of calibration standards and documentation.
• Generate calibration certificates, service reports, and quality documentation.
• Troubleshoot failures and determine corrective actions or repairs.
• Interpret manuals, schematics, specifications, and calibration procedures.
• Maintain service records and equipment histories in asset-management systems.
• Provide customers with technical support and basic equipment-use guidance as needed.
• Communicate findings and repair status clearly to customers and internal teams.
