Job summary

Philips in Portland, Oregon is hiring a Biomedical Equipment Technician with travel to accounts across the West Zone. The role installs, troubleshoots, and services biomedical equipment at customer sites, performing PMs, installations and repairs with a strong emphasis on customer satisfaction and urgency.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years servicing medical devices and an electronics-focused education. Travel is 50%, and the position is a field role requiring flexible hours and on-site work.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience servicing medical equipment; general biomedical, patient monitoring, blood pressure monitors, defibrillators, or infusion pump experience highly preferred.
• Associates degree in electronics or equivalent combination of education and experience; BSEE/BSEET/BSME/BSMET preferred.
• Working knowledge of electronic circuit boards, schematics, processors and computer hardware including applications, programming, and systems functionality.
• Ability to understand/apply electronic, mechanical, and networking theory to install, diagnose, and repair equipment; knowledge and use of tools and test equipment required.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance and service repair on equipment utilizing the service manual, OJT, OEM or 3rd party training.
• Identify and resolve customer issues, providing communication and involving appropriate site service personnel.
• Maintain customer satisfaction; demonstrate ownership in difficult circumstances and urgency; set priorities with Site Manager/Customer.
• Independently complete PMs, FCOs, installations, and all related tasks; diagnose/resolve electronic, network, and mechanical problems.
