Job summary

ETD, Inc. is seeking a motivated mid-level Biologist to support fieldwork and report writing under the Endangered Species Act. The candidate should have field experience and strong writing skills to contribute to sustainable environmental solutions for Tribal lands.

Responsibilities include environmental permitting work, GIS analysis, and coordination with Tribal stakeholders. A Bachelor's degree in biology or related field is required, along with a valid driver's license and the ability to hike

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in biology, ecology, or natural resources science.
  • Knowledge of basic mapping software (ArcGIS Pro, Field Maps/Collector/Survey123), Google Earth Pro.
  • Proficiency in MS Office.
  • Technical writing and data management.
  • Valid U.S. driver's license; ability to pass motor vehicle/background checks.
  • Ability to hike in remote terrain.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and conduct work to meet environmental permitting and compliance requirements (ESA Section 7, MBTA, BGEPA, CWA Sections 401/404, stormwater, and related federal, state, and Tribal requirements).
  • Conduct desktop research, GIS mapping, and spatial analyses; maintain field and GIS data quality.
  • Assist with Tribal consultation logistics, public engagement, and stakeholder coordination (meeting prep, notices, comment tracking, meeting summaries).
  • Assist project managers with tracking tasks and deliverables.
