At Keish Environmental, your expertise makes a direct impact. Every challenge is an opportunity to shape the success of critical infrastructure and wildfire recovery projects while advancing environmental sustainability.

Position Overview:

  • Work independently in diverse environments, assessing habitat conditions, monitoring species, and ensuring permit compliance

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct pre-construction surveys for nesting birds and sensitive species
  • Monitor regulatory compliance (401/404/LSAA permit oversight)
  • Collect and analyze field data; prepare technical reports
  • Track and map wetland and habitat acreage
  • Coordinate with stakeholders, agencies, and teams
  • Lead educational outreach and training

Minimum Qualifications:

  • B.S. in Ecology, Biology, Natural Resources, or related field
  • 5+ years of field monitoring experience
  • Species handling certifications preferred (e.g., California Red-legged Frog, Western Pond Turtle, nesting birds)
  • Strong report writing, data analysis, and project coordination skills
  • Ability to interpret construction plans and regulatory documents
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
  • Physically fit (carry 30 lbs., walk on varied terrain, work in adverse conditions)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with CEQA/NEPA biological mitigations
  • Knowledge of wetland permitting processes (401/404/LSAA)
  • Certifications (e.g., QSP, ENV SP) a plus
  • Strong independent work ethic and collaboration skills

Additional Requirements:
