Job summary

The Raymond Corporation is seeking a Battery Service Technician to service and support customer battery systems at client sites. This role requires traveling to sites to diagnose, repair, and install batteries and related equipment, with emphasis on safety and efficiency.

You will perform preventive maintenance, complete paperwork, and maintain van stock and tools. The job demands mechanical aptitude, reading schematics, and the ability to work overtime or weekends, with occasional 24/7 on-call

Qualifications

• Good mechanical aptitude and basic knowledge of industrial electricity.
• Ability to read schematics, diagrams, and manuals.
• Willing to work overtime or weekends and be on-call.
• Valid driving record and safe driving practices.

Responsibilities

• Pickup, deliver, install batteries and chargers at customer sites.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot and repair battery equipment per guidelines.
• Perform preventive maintenance on assigned equipment per schedule.
• Maintain accurate paperwork and time records.
• Keep inventory and tools organized in the van.
• Adhere to safety policies and environmental procedures.
• Develop positive relationships with customers and coworkers.
• Attend training and company activities as required.
• Ensure van and equipment are stocked and clean.
