Bowery Residents' Committee seeks an Outreach Specialist for Transit Homeless Outreach. The role is field-based, full-time (37.5 hours/week), working in transit locations to connect individuals to housing and essential services.

You will conduct compassionate street-based outreach, complete assessments, and document interactions while collaborating with partner agencies and internal teams to support Housing First and harm reduction approaches.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to document and report outreach activities clearly.

• Conduct outreach in transit locations with sensitivity and care.
• Connect clients to housing, medical, mental health, and support services.
• Complete brief assessments, provide escorts, and refer to services.
• Document outreach activity and client interactions accurately.
