Job summary

UCSF Health in Oakland is seeking a Security Supervisor to lead a team of Security Officers, ensuring safety for learners, patients and staff while coordinating with UC Health Communications and UCSF PD.

You will oversee training, conduct performance evaluations, and respond to incidents in the field, with 50%+ shift presence on-site and strong emphasis on customer service and crisis management.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 4+ years in Security Services.
• 1+ year in a leadership/supervisory role.
• Valid California Class-C Driver’s License.
• California BSIS Guard Card.
• Ability to obtain CPI 1-3 and IAHSS Basic Security Officer Certificate within 60 days.
• Experience with security functions in the respective division.
• Strong interpersonal, customer service and problem‑solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and train Security Officers on shift.
• Complete performance evaluations for assigned staff.
• Respond to calls for service and oversee field operations.
• Assist with scheduling, vacations, and timekeeping.
• Liaise with Security Administration on critical matters.
