Job summary

Liberty Healthcare Corporation is hiring a full-time Protective Services Caseworker to support the Pennsylvania Adult Protective Services Program in Bedford County and surrounding areas. The role involves investigating suspected abuse and coordinating services to protect adults with disabilities, with travel required and a strong emphasis on compassion and resilience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in social work, criminal justice or human services preferred but not required with relevant experience.
• Ability to travel regionally and navigate emotionally challenging situations with compassion and resilience.
• Own insured vehicle for travel to Bedford County and surrounding areas.

Responsibilities

• Travel throughout Bedford County and surrounding counties to conduct investigations.
• Interview individuals and gather information for assessments.
• Identify and mitigate risk factors; develop service plans and coordinate services.
• Document findings and write reports; manage cases to closure.
• Maintain autonomy in a field-based role with occasional evening work.
