Job summary

The John Stewart Company is seeking an Occupancy Specialist in Los Angeles to lease units and assist residents while ensuring compliance with HUD, TCAC, and related programs. You will work with the Property Manager and Leasing Staff to maintain occupancy targets and accurate resident files.

Ideal candidates bring strong organization, attention to detail, and excellent customer service, with knowledge of rent calculations, certifications, and reporting.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of HUD, TCAC and housing programs.
• Ability to apply policies to leasing and occupancy.
• Strong detail orientation and data accuracy.
• Experience interacting with diverse residents and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lease units and maintain applicant files per policy.
• Calculate rents for annual/interim recertifications.
• Market and tour units to prospective residents.
• Prepare reports and maintain waiting lists.
• Ensure compliance with program regulations (HUD, TCAC, Home Program, etc.).
