Job summary

The IMA Group is seeking an experienced Nurse Case Manager in California to coordinate medical care for injured workers outside bedside care. This field-based role requires traveling within your territory, coordinating with physicians, employers, and claims professionals to ensure timely, effective outcomes.

You will advocate for patients, document progress, and maintain open communication with all parties. A California RN license and ASN are preferred, BSN encouraged.

Qualifications

• Active California RN license.
• ASN required; BSN preferred.
• Background in ICU, ER, Trauma, Orthopedics, Neurology, or other acute care specialties.
• Prior Workers' Compensation Case Management experience preferred.
• Excellent communication, organization, and care coordination skills.
• Reliable transportation and willingness to travel extensively throughout the assigned service area.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate medical care for injured workers and facilitate communication among physicians, employers, and claims professionals.
• Advocate for injured workers to achieve the best possible outcomes and ensure timely treatment and documentation.
• Travel within the assigned territory (80–85% of workweek) to meet with injured workers and co-attend medical appointments; remaining time for documentation and coordination.
