Acadia Pharmaceuticals Inc. is seeking a Medical Science Liaison (MSL) to serve as a scientific resource within psychiatry/neurology.

This field-based role focuses on building relationships with KOLs, HCPs, investigators, and patient groups to facilitate scientific exchange and education across Acadia's portfolio. The MSL collaborates across Medical Affairs, HEOR, Market Access, and Commercial teams, communicates data, and supports investigator-initiated studies while traveling up to 75%.

Qualifications

• PharmD, PhD, MD/DO or DNP in a related field required.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in biopharmaceutical industry.
• Psychiatry or neurology experience strongly preferred.
• Scientific, clinical, and therapeutic area expertise.
• Knowledge of regulatory, compliance, and clinical considerations in pharma.
• Experience preparing Medical Affairs materials and promotional review.
• Expertise in scientific and drug information communication.
• Proficiency with Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
• Travel up to 75% with territory residence near a major airport.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain scientific relationships with national and regional KOLs, HCPs, patient advocacy groups, and centers of excellence.
• Lead scientific exchange activities to communicate data and address medical inquiries.
• Support Phase 2 to Phase 4 clinical research activities including investigator engagement.
• Maintain deep scientific, clinical, and therapeutic expertise across Acadia's portfolio.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Medical Affairs, HEOR, Market Access, and Commercial teams.
• Gather and communicate field insights, emerging scientific trends, and unmet needs.
• Identify opportunities to differentiate products through clinical insights.
• Provide scientific and educational support to internal and external stakeholders.
• Represent Acadia at medical congresses and industry events.
• Support internal training initiatives like speaker development.
