Job summary

West Coast Wound and Skin Care is seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant to join our field-based wound care team. This role travels to patient homes to deliver hands-on clinical support under supervising providers. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, clinically competent, and passionate about delivering high-quality patient care in a mobile setting.

The schedule is Monday–Friday, 8am–5pm. This is a full-time role at $22/hr with benefits including 401(k), health and vision insurance, and paid

Qualifications

• Valid MA certification required.
• 1–2 years clinical or medical experience preferred.
• Experience in home health or mobile/field-based care a plus.
• Strong medical terminology knowledge.
• Excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently while following clinical protocols.
• Basic computer proficiency for electronic documentation.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required.

Responsibilities

• Perform delegated clinical tasks and patient care in field-based setting.
• Prepare patients for procedures and assist providers during visits.
• Scribe for physicians and document clinical findings.
• Chart checks to monitor patient progress.
• Coordinate and assist with patient scheduling and visits.
• Conduct initial assessment calls with new patients.
• Order and manage medical supplies and equipment inventory.
• Adhere to infection control, safety, and privacy standards.
• Communicate effectively with providers, nurses, and administrative staff for continuity of care.
