Job summary

West Coast Wound and Skin Care is seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant to join our field-based wound care team. This role involves traveling to patient homes to deliver hands-on clinical support under the direction of supervising providers in a mobile setting.

The ideal candidate is self-motivated, clinically competent, and passionate about delivering high-quality patient care. Monday–Friday, 8am–5pm, with compensation at $22/hr plus standard benefits.

Qualifications

• Valid MA certification required.
• 1–2 years of clinical or medical experience preferred.
• Home health or field-based experience a plus.
• Proficient in medical terminology.
• Strong organizational and communication skills; able to work independently.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Proficient with electronic documentation.

Responsibilities

• Perform delegated clinical tasks and patient care in field-based setting.
• Prepare patients for procedures and assist providers during visits.
• Scribe for physicians and document clinical findings.
• Monitor patient progress through chart checks.
• Coordinate scheduling and patient visits.
• Conduct initial assessment calls with new patients.
• Manage medical supplies and equipment inventory.
• Adhere to infection control and privacy standards.
• Communicate with providers, nurses, and administrative staff to ensure continuity of care.
