Job summary

AHRC New York City is hiring full-time Job Coaches for our Brooklyn Employment Business Services program. You will support individuals with disabilities in achieving meaningful employment, mainly on-site at job locations, with gradual fading as skills develop.

Compensation starts at $20/hour with increases by education level, and a comprehensive benefits package including free medical insurance. Schedule is 40 hours per week, Monday–Friday, with occasional weekend hours.

Qualifications

• One year of experience working with individuals with disabilities.
• Direct Support Professional (DSP) experience is a plus.
• Flexibility in work hours and scheduling needs.
• Teaching or mentoring experience.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Excellent customer service and client-facing experience.
• Strong case notes writing and documentation skills.
• High school diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of about 10-15 clients, mainly at on-site job locations.
• Teach, assist, and support new workers using modeling, demonstrations, and counseling.
• Provide training and support to workers with disabilities to ensure success.
• Assist with travel from home to job sites when needed.
• Write detailed service notes after each session to monitor progress.
