Job summary

The Walt Disney Company is seeking an Environmental Professional for Walt Disney World to advance sustainability initiatives, partner with Cast across the resort, and drive efficiencies through change.

You will lead site walkthroughs, influence leaders at multiple levels, and coordinate with Disney Vacation Club, DX Business Units and operating participants to implement programs reducing waste, plastics, water use and energy.

Qualifications

  • In-depth knowledge of business operations with strong problem solving, leadership, communication and influencing skills.
  • Proven track record in negotiation, communication and engagement at multiple levels, with both technical and non-technical colleagues.
  • Conflict management skills to negotiate alignment with competing business priorities.
  • Experienced leading and facilitating meetings with partners to ensure an understanding of the company culture change and develop a change adoption plan.

Responsibilities

  • Work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Influence and support leaders across all levels and lines of business to build foundational understanding of Disney’s environmental goals and advance sustainability initiatives.
  • Support efforts to address environmental challenges by participating in site walkthroughs with area leaders and contributing to follow-up and improvement recommendations.
  • Implement engagement strategies by guiding necessary behavioral and process changes creatively and cost-effectively.
  • Engage and collaborate with local partners supporting daily operations to drive consistency across Walt Disney World and ensure smooth project turnover from the Environmental Sustainability line of business to the operation.
  • Interact with and influence complex, diverse partners (including Operating Participants, Disney Vacation Club and other DX Business Units)
  • Support DX segment strategic planning and consolidated roll up of segment environmental initiatives.
