Community Partnership of Southeast Missouri is seeking an Employment Specialist to help individuals with barriers find meaningful work, build relationships with local employers, and support people as they take real steps forward in their lives.

This role involves spending the majority of time out in the community, making connections and creating opportunities, with a starting salary of $37,000 per year plus benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience in mental health, social services, case management, or workforce development.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Self-motivated with ability to manage a flexible schedule.

Responsibilities

• Support a caseload of up to 30 individuals seeking employment and help identify goals.
• Connect with local employers weekly to develop job opportunities.
• Spend 60–65% of time in the community (job sites, resource fairs, partnership offices/meetings).
• Provide ongoing support to help clients maintain employment for 6 months.
• Document services and progress in a timely, organized manner.
