Job summary

Street Samaritans seeks a Clinical-Team Lead to oversee field-based crisis work along the CTA Blue Line between Forest Park and Austin. This full-time role anchors a multidisciplinary team, guiding crisis assessments, de-escalation, and warm handoffs to higher levels of care.

You will supervise two Crisis Intervention Specialists, coordinate with partner clinics, and ensure timely documentation in case management systems.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or related field.
  • Minimum 2 years clinical experience, including 1 year in community-based or field settings.
  • Experience with crisis intervention, SMI, SUD, or co-occurring disorders.
  • Experience supervising clinical or paraprofessional staff.
  • Ability to work effectively in unstructured, physically demanding field environments.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct field-based crisis assessments using validated tools as appropriate.
  • Provide direct crisis intervention — de-escalation and brief stabilization.
  • Serve as escalation point to telepsychiatry for high-acuity encounters.
  • Lead daily huddles and weekly supervision for team cohesion and quality.
  • Coordinate with WOVEN Clinics, Mile Square Health Center, IHDD, and CTA.
  • Maintain timely documentation in program case management systems.
