Job summary

Keish Environmental seeks an experienced General Construction Inspector to support major Southern California infrastructure projects beginning Spring/Summer 2027. This field-based, mid-level role offers opportunities to lead inspections across public and private works.

You will conduct daily site visits, monitor stormwater and environmental controls, review safety practices and materials, and maintain detailed records to ensure compliance with plans, specs, and codes.

Qualifications

4+ years of direct construction inspection experience on highways or public works projects.
Knowledge of concrete, steel, earthwork, plumbing, HVAC, and electrical systems.
Caltrans or public infra project experience preferred.
Willing to work nights, weekends, extended field shifts.
Valid driver's license with clean driving record.

Responsibilities

Independently inspect infrastructure projects to ensure construction aligns with plans, specs, and codes
Conduct daily site visits (95% field-based) and maintain detailed records
Monitor stormwater compliance (CGP, SWPPP/BMP)
Review site safety practices, construction techniques, schedule adherence
Perform and interpret field tests; verify materials and workmanship
Document findings, redline as-builts, and track compliance
Identify risks and propose engineering solutions in real-time
