Caritas Family Solutions is seeking an Employment Specialist to assist individuals with disabilities in locating, obtaining, and maintaining competitive employment across Illinois. The role emphasizes building business partnerships within the community to promote opportunity and independence in the workplace.

The position operates primarily in the field, requiring organization and self-motivation, with duties including employer outreach, job coaching, and supportive services to help clients

Qualifications

• Must have High School Diploma or GED.
• Experience working with individuals with disabilities preferred.
• 21 years of age or older.

Responsibilities

• Identify, obtain, and maintain competitive integrated employment for individuals with disabilities.
• Develop relationships with employers and community partners to create employment opportunities.
• Conduct business development activities to strengthen community partnerships.
• Provide individualized employment services and supports at community job sites.
• Assist individuals in developing workplace skills and independence in employment settings.
• Monitor progress and provide ongoing support to ensure job retention.
• Maintain accurate documentation and records of services provided.
• Coordinate services with employers, consumers, families, and community stakeholders.
• Work evenings and weekends as needed to accommodate consumer work schedules.
