Job summary

1199-SEIU is seeking a licensed social worker to assist members with mental health and related challenges. The role involves assessments, referrals, and follow-up support across various settings in NYC.

The ideal candidate holds an MSW with LMSW licensure, at least two years of post-graduate experience, and prefers bilingual Spanish speakers. Travel across the five boroughs and collaboration with healthcare partners are required.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in social work or equivalent years of experience required.
• New York State License (LMSW) required.
• Minimum two (2) years post-graduate experience in direct social work required.
• Bilingual in Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist members in person or by phone with mental health and related challenges; provide assessments, referrals, and follow-up support.
• Offer ongoing support for members admitted for psychiatric care, detoxification, and rehabilitation.
• Collaborate with families, educators, therapists, and community partners to ensure cohesive care for clients.
• Provide members with personalized referrals to community-based resources and behavioral healthcare providers.
• Utilize QNXT, Salesforce, DMS, ICIS, V3, and other databases to complete tasks and documentation.
