Job summary

Family Service League is seeking a full-time Bilingual Spanish-speaking Social Worker or Mental Health Counselor for its Mental Health Clinic in Bay Shore, NY. The Social Worker will provide evaluations, treatment planning, psychotherapy and crisis intervention for children, families and adults with DSM diagnoses in a clinic setting, using trauma-informed, culturally competent care.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in social work or related field is required.
• LMSW, LCSW, LMFT or Limited Permit required.
• At least 1 year of related behavioral health experience; clinic experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide evaluation/assessment and treatment planning.
• Offer individual and family therapy for children, adolescents, and adults.
• Deliver trauma-informed, culturally and linguistically competent care.
• Perform crisis intervention during scheduled hours and document in EMR.
