Job summary

MONTECH INC. in Red Lake Falls, Minnesota seeks a dedicated Child Welfare Case Worker to provide comprehensive case management for the U.S. DOI, Bureau of Indian Affairs, Division of Human Services, Red Lake Nation.

You will coordinate services, engage families, and promote safety, permanency, and well-being for children involved in the Red Lake Nation child welfare system. On-site role with responsibilities from intake through reunification, guardianship, adoption, or case closure.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• At least 3 years of child welfare case management.
• Experience testifying in court and working with tribal communities preferred.

Responsibilities

• Case Planning: Develops a written case plan with the family within 30 days of placement or case opening and prepares it for federal approval and the 90-day supervisory review.
• Monthly Visits: Completes at least one face-to-face visit with each child each month at the placement setting and documents the visit.
• Placement: Supports placement selection following tribal community preferences and ensures homes are licensed by the Nation.
• Family Connection: Arranges and documents parent and sibling visitation; supports cultural connection and community involvement.
• Permanency and Court: Attends hearings, prepares court reports, and pursues a permanency plan within six months of placement.
