Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in psychology, social work, counseling, or related field.
• One year of experience with crisis intervention.
• Knowledgeable about the local system of care including ACI, inpatient resources, civil commitments, and guardianship laws.
• Proficient in public speaking and delivering professional trainings.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate services and build local care systems for behavioral health needs within law enforcement, jail staff and court staff.
• Participate on local law enforcement Crisis Intervention Teams (CIT) or similar initiatives.
• Collaborate with partners in treatment or diversion courts.
• Provide training and consultation on behavioral health issues for law enforcement and court staff as needed.
• Assist local ACI teams and courts in locating inpatient psychiatric beds and filing involuntary detention petitions.
• Complete all mandatory documentation.
• Act as a member of a multi-disciplinary team.
• Perform other related work as assigned.
