Job summary

KBR Government Solutions seeks a Quality Inspector to perform source inspections at supplier facilities for aerospace components. The role requires independent travel to Minnesota region, with strong technical inspection experience and professionalism in customer interactions.

The ideal candidate will manage multiple supplier assignments, maintain qualifications, and contribute to safety and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, blueprints and technical documentation.
• Working knowledge of quality systems, inspection methodologies, and manufacturing processes.
• Experience using standard inspection and measurement tools.
• Knowledge of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T).
• Ability to read and interpret drawings and travel schedules.

Responsibilities

• Conduct source inspections at supplier facilities.
• Verify compliance with customer requirements, drawings, specs and PO requirements.
• Perform visual, dimensional and documentation inspections.
• Utilize precision measuring equipment including calipers, micrometers, height gages, thread gages, and other tools.
• Verify calibration and certification status for inspection equipment.
• Review manufacturing and quality documentation including certifications, travelers, inspection reports, material traceability, and test data.
• Complete inspection reports and documentation accurately and within timelines.
• Communicate professionally with suppliers, customers, and internal personnel.
