Job summary

Metro Aviation, Inc. in Columbus, Ohio, is seeking a Field-Based A&P Helicopter Maintenance Technician for the MedFlight of Ohio program. You will inspect, maintain, modify, and repair EC130 airframes, rotors, engines, and components to ensure airworthiness under FARs and Metro policies.

Requirements include a valid FAA A&P certificate and at least three years of turbine rotorcraft or airplane experience. Full-time position with benefits and sign-on/retention bonuses.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• FAA Airframe & Powerplant Certificate required.
• IA (Inspection Authorization) a plus.
• Minimum 3 years turbine rotorcraft or airplane experience.
• Thorough knowledge of FARs and maintenance data.

Responsibilities

• Maintain liaison with Lead AMT to report aircraft status and downtime.
• Perform maintenance, inspection, modification and repair per MAI & OEM data and applicable regs.
• Plan and coordinate maintenance schedule with base team and tools/parts available.
• Communicate with pilots and clinical crew regarding aircraft condition.
• Maintain field base to company standards and procedures.
• Take ownership for each aircraft assigned to the base.
• Prepare material requests and inventory reports; receive and ship inventory.
• Maintain Ground Support Equipment (GSE).
• Ensure all aircraft documents and MAI records are complete and current.
• Inspect incoming parts and materials; check shelf-life before use.
• Request Secondary Maintenance Checks as needed.
• Keep calibration tools tracked and up to date.
