Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of commercial AV integration experience.
  • Hands-on experience with Crestron, Q-SYS, Biamp or Shure.

Responsibilities

  • Install and integrate Crestron control processors and NVX endpoints.
  • Deploy Q-SYS cores, peripherals, and networked audio systems.
  • Install and support Biamp Tesira DSP platforms and related hardware.
  • Install fixed lens and PTZ cameras.
  • Install beamforming microphone arrays, analog microphones and wireless microphone systems.
  • Assist with system commissioning and hardware integration across enterprise environments.
  • Mount and secure large-format displays and interactive displays.
  • Install motorized projection systems and projection screens.
  • Assemble and deploy multi-panel video walls.
  • Install intelligent camera tracking and conferencing systems.
  • Install and cable beamforming ceiling microphones.
  • Deploy Dante-enabled amplifiers and networked audio endpoints.
  • Install PoE and PoE+ ceiling speaker systems.
  • Support audio system testing and verification.

Compensation: $27-$32/Hour

We are seeking an experienced Field AV Technician / Installer to join our growing commercial integration team. This position is responsible for building, wiring, installing, and deploying enterprise-class AV and unified communications systems in government, higher education and corporate environments.

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with Crestron, Q-SYS, Biamp, Shure ecosystems, strong installation skills, and a solid understanding of commercial AV infrastructure, networking, and system deployment. You will work closely with project managers, field engineers, programmers, and clients to deliver high-quality workplace technology solutions including Microsoft Teams Rooms (MTR), Zoom Rooms, video conferencing systems, digital signal processing, and networked AV environments.

Key Tasks & Responsibilities:
Platform Integration
  • Install and integrate Crestron control processors and NVX endpoints.
  • Deploy Q-SYS cores, peripherals, and networked audio systems.
  • Install and support Biamp Tesira DSP platforms and related hardware.
  • Install fixed lens and PTZ cameras.
  • Install beamforming microphone arrays, analog microphones and wireless microphone systems.
  • Assist with system commissioning and hardware integration across enterprise environments.
Enterprise Hardware Installation
  • Mount and secure large-format displays and interactive displays.
  • Install motorized projection systems and projection screens.
  • Assemble and deploy multi-panel video walls.
  • Install intelligent camera tracking and conferencing systems.
  • Install and cable beamforming ceiling microphones.
  • Deploy Dante-enabled amplifiers and networked audio endpoints.
  • Install PoE and PoE+ ceiling speaker systems.
  • Support audio system testing and verification.
Commercial Cabling & Termination
  • Pull plenum-rated low-voltage cabling through ceilings, walls, and conduit systems.
  • Terminate and test:
  • RJ45 connectors
  • Shielded Cat6 cabling
  • Phoenix connectors
  • RS232 connections
  • Label and document all installed cable infrastructure according to project standards.
  • Build and wire enterprise AV equipment racks.
  • Maintain clean and organized cable management practices.
  • Follow engineered drawings and rack elevations for system assembly.
  • Ensure installations meet company quality standards and client expectations.
System Testing & Support
  • Assist with loading Crestron, Biamp and Q-SYS configuration files.
  • Verify network connectivity, IP addressing, and system communication.
  • Troubleshoot signal flow, audio, video, and control system issues.
  • Perform final testing, quality assurance checks, and client handoff procedures.
Requirements
Required Qualifications
Experience
  • Minimum 2 years of commercial AV integration experience.
  • Hands-on experience with one or more of the following platforms:
  • Crestron, Q-SYS, Biamp, Shure
Technical Knowledge
  • Understanding of AV signal flow and commercial AV infrastructure.
  • Experience reading:
  • Rack elevations
  • Familiarity with:
  • Q-LAN
  • AES67
  • Microsoft Teams Rooms (MTR)
  • Zoom Rooms
Networking
  • Foundational knowledge of:
  • IP networking
  • Subnets
  • VLANs
  • Experience mounting equipment to:
  • Metal and wood stud walls
  • Concrete surfaces
  • Commercial construction materials
  • Drop tile and hard-lid ceilings
  • Knowledge of proper anchoring and installation techniques.
Preferred Qualifications
  • AVIXA CTS certification.
  • Crestron technical training or certification pathway completion
  • Q-SYS Level 1 or Level 2 certification.
  • Biamp Tesira training and certification.
  • Shure Certifications
  • OSHA 10 certification.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift and position equipment weighing up to 60 lbs.
  • Ability to stand, kneel, bend, and work overhead for extended periods.

Additional Requirements
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

  • Ability to travel to project sites as required.

  • Must be able to pass criminal background checks and drug tests.
