Job summary

Solutionz, Inc. is seeking a Field Engineer for local, field-based work across the Greater Washington, D.C. metro area.

You will design, commission, troubleshoot, and manage integrated audiovisual systems installations aligned with SOF and the Technical Scope of Work. Frequent collaboration with customers, project managers, and installation staff ensures on-time, on-spec delivery. Candidates should have 3+ years in AV installations, strong knowledge of DSP platforms, and experience with system

Qualifications

• Experience in designing, commissioning, and supporting AV systems.
• Familiarity with SOF and Technical Scope of Work.
• Ability to read construction drawings, diagrams, and wiring schematics.
• Experience with DSP, networking, and control systems.

Responsibilities

• Commission systems per SOF and customer requirements.
• Verify designs meet scope and customer expectations.
• Document redlines on system drawings and configurations.
• Produce documentation for network, video, DSP, and settings.
• Assist with change orders and communicate with the Project Manager.
• Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues on site.
• Maintain effective communication with stakeholders and team members.
• Support programming standards and templates across projects.
• Configure and optimize audio DSP to meet design specs.
• Provide technical support across departments as needed.
• Adhere to AV industry best practices during installation.
