Job summary

Danos is seeking an Automation Technician to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair automation and control systems across well sites and production facilities in the field. You will monitor PLCs, RTUs, SCADA, HMIs, and instrumentation to ensure safe, reliable operation and respond to alarms and faults promptly.

The role requires reading P&IDs and schematics, using testing tools, and performing basic programming or diagnostics as needed while traveling between field locations in New Mexico

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience with PLCs, RTUs, SCADA, HMIs and field instrumentation.
• Ability to travel between field locations with a valid driver's license.
• Willingness to work in oil and gas field environments.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair automation and control equipment.
• Troubleshoot PLCs, RTUs, HMIs, SCADA systems, and field instrumentation.
• Monitor systems and respond to alarms and equipment issues.
• Troubleshoot transmitters, sensors, valves and other instrumentation.
• Work with pressure, temperature, flow, and level measurement devices.
• Read PIDs, electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, loop drawings and control system documentation.
• Perform basic PLC/RTU programming, configuration, and diagnostics as required.
