Job summary

Western Midstream in Texas seeks a Maintenance/Operations Technician for the Delaware Basin Operations. The role supports gas processing plants and associated equipment, ensuring safe, reliable operation and regulatory compliance.

Expect hands-on maintenance of engines, compressors, pumps, and control systems, plus coordination with plant teams to optimize throughput and minimize downtime.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience; relevant gas processing plant experience preferred.
• Ability to troubleshoot control systems, components, end devices and other electronic equipment and perform repairs and maintenance.
• Experience with Word and Excel; SAP experience preferred.
• Knowledge of electrical and electronic principles.
• Familiarity with P&ID, Equipment Arrangement, Area Classification, Piping Isometrics is a plus.
• Experience in maintenance and operation of natural gas engines, compressors and gas processing equipment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain safety for self and team in line with WES Core Values.
• Assist in daily economic optimization of operations.
• Coordinate with plant supervision, engineering, operations, I&E and contractors.
• Perform maintenance to ensure regulatory compliance and reliable operations.
• Manage and troubleshoot PLC/DCS/SCADA systems and related electrical/mechanical equipment.
• Work with field teams to optimize throughput, minimize downtime, and reduce safety/environmental risks.
• Keep accurate data in preventative/predictive maintenance programs and drawings.
