Job summary

ANDRITZ is seeking a Field Automation Commissioning Engineer to support installation, startup, troubleshooting, and lifecycle service of municipal dewatering equipment in North America. You will join the North American Field Service organization and work with the Commissioning Lead to deliver high-quality automation solutions.

Responsibilities include FAT/SAT support, PLC/HMI configuration, and collaboration with Engineering, Project Management, and technicians to improve automation standards

Qualifications

• Associates degree in Automation Engineering or equivalent.
• 3+ years in industrial automation, controls engineering, or field service.
• Strong PLC programming and troubleshooting experience.
• Experience with HMIs, instrumentation, VFDs, and industrial networks.
• Ability to read electrical schematics, P&IDs and control drawings.
• Willingness to travel 100% across North America.

Responsibilities

• Support installation, startup, commissioning, testing, and optimization of ANDRITZ equipment and automation systems.
• Configure, troubleshoot, and modify PLC, HMI, VFD, instrumentation, and industrial networks.
• Perform electrical and controls verification prior to equipment startup.
• Support FAT, SAT, commissioning, and customer performance testing.
• Troubleshoot complex electrical, automation, and process control issues.
• Maintain commissioning documentation and software backups.
