Job summary

Midera Food Processing is seeking a Field Automation Engineer to support our RapidVisionPak division. This role combines strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting with frequent travel across North America, and direct interaction with customers at various sites.

You will diagnose, startup, commission, validate, and hand over equipment while training customer personnel and ensuring project success through clear communication and hands-on technical leadership.

Qualifications

• Allen-Bradley PLC experience.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
• Critical thinker who enjoys solving problems independently.
• Comfortable working directly with customers.
• Willingness to travel 50-60%, including frequent weekend travel.

• Troubleshoot automated packaging and processing equipment.
• Work with Allen-Bradley PLC systems.
• Diagnose electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and controls issues.
• Perform startups, commissioning, and equipment validation.
