Job summary

Progressive Insurance is seeking an auto damage claims adjuster to serve as the main contact with customers, guiding repair decisions from start to finish. You will manage your own inventory, collaborate with body shops, and negotiate repair pricing while evaluating liability.

This field role includes a company car and potential office visits, with coverage across Stamford, CT and nearby regions. Strong attention to detail and customer service are essential.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of relevant work experience, with 1 year appraisal/estimatics or insurance experience.
• Associate's degree plus 3+ years with 1 year appraisal/estimatics or insurance experience.
• Bachelor's degree plus 1 year appraisal/estimatics or insurance experience.

Responsibilities

• Complete vehicle inspections, write estimates, determine total loss evaluations, and set clear expectations and timelines
• Negotiate repair process with body shops
• Document information related to the claim and make decisions consistent with claims standards and local laws
• Evaluate and handle claim payments and resolution of claims without payments
• Review and determine validity of any supplement requests
