Job summary

Sedgwick Claims Management Services Ltd in St. Louis, MO seeks an Auto Appraiser to inspect, identify, and evaluate auto vehicles involved in a loss. This role requires travel to inspection sites and collaboration with repair facilities.

You will prepare estimates using estimatics software and determine repair versus salvage, focusing on accuracy and customer service. A high school diploma and appraisal experience are required, with state licensing as needed.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required; state licensing as required.
  • Three (3) years of related experience including at least one (1) year of appraisal experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Auto Appraiser - St. Louis, MO
PRIMARY PURPOSE

To inspect, identify, and evaluate auto vehicles involved in a loss.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS and RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Appraises and determines costs of repairs to damaged vehicle in the field; determines repair versus replace and parts utilization.
  • Evaluates and determines if the vehicle is repairable or salvageable based on industry standard estimatics software.
  • Travels to inspection locations to appraise vehicles in the field.
  • Prepares estimates using estimatics software.
  • Works directly with auto repair facilities to determinate supplemental repair processing and provides a supplemental estimate.
ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS and RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Travels as required.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Education & Licensing High school diploma or GED required. Licenses as required by state guidelines.
  • Experience Three (3) years of related experience to include at least one (1) year of appraisal experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required.

For the jurisdiction noted in this job posting only, the range of starting pay for this role is $55,000-$70,000/yr.
