Job summary

Sedgwick Claims Management Services Ltd seeks a Field Auto Appraiser in Minneapolis, MN to inspect and evaluate damaged vehicles for loss. You will prepare repair estimates, determine repair vs. salvage, and travel to inspection sites to work with repair facilities.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years in appraisal with strong knowledge of automobiles and estimating software, plus excellent communication and teamwork abilities to meet deadlines.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 3 years of related experience including at least 1 year of appraisal experience or equivalent.
  • Experience with appraisal/estimating software.
  • Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills; ability to work in a team.

Responsibilities

  • Appraises and determines costs of repairs to damaged vehicles in the field.
  • Determines repair vs. replace and parts utilization.
  • Evaluates repairability or salvageability based on standard estimatics software.
  • Travels to inspection locations to appraise vehicles.
  • Prepares estimates using estimatics software.
  • Collaborates with auto repair facilities on supplemental repairs.
