Job Overview

National General, part of The Allstate Corporation, offers a range of insurance products including auto and home. We are seeking a motivated, customer‑focused Field Auto Adjuster or Appraiser to join our Claims team.

Job Description

In this role you will inspect damaged vehicles, prepare accurate repair estimates, negotiate repairs with body shops, and guide customers through the claims process. You will manage your own schedule, travel throughout your assigned territory, and serve as a trusted advisor during the claims process.

Key Responsibilities

• Possess strong estimating fundamentals to create or audit estimates of damages for 1st and 3rd party material loss of all severities.
• Have a deep understanding of the content of all policy types written by the company.
• Negotiate settlements, make settlement payments and document all activities in the most complex files across multiple lines.
• Evaluate settlement alternatives by reviewing regulatory compliance and fair claims practices; make decisions on the best option.
• Build maintained relationships with both internal and external customers across multiple lines.

Qualifications

At least one year of field auto damage estimating experience, strong customer service skills, and experience with industry estimating platforms such as CCC ONE or Mitchell.

Compensation

• Field Auto NG NCL Consultant I: $26.49 – $37.50
• Field Auto NG NCL Consultant II: $28.03 – $39.42
• Field Auto NG NCL Senior Consultant I: $35.82 – $54.90

Package also includes incentive pay (commission, bonus, etc.) based on experience and qualifications.
