Job summary

AMERISAFE, Inc. is seeking a Field Auditor for Southwest Florida to independently audit policyholder accounts, either virtually or on site, ensuring accurate premium calculations and correct coding within state guidelines.

The role requires management of a geographic territory, completion of interim and final audits on schedule, and travel as needed. A valid driver's license and the ability to work from home or in the field are required.

Qualifications

• Prior auditing or accounting experience preferred.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently from home and in the field.
• Valid driver's license with reliable transportation.
• Willingness to relocate to the territory.

Responsibilities

• Organize and manage a geographic territory of policyholder accounts.
• Schedule and complete audits virtually or at a location designated by policyholder.
• Complete interim audits within 90 days of policy inception and final audits within 60 days of policy expiration.
• Examine policyholder records including accounting, payroll and tax documents, as well as job descriptions and contractor COIs.
• Research and substantiate accuracy of policy classifications, officer inclusions/exclusions, subcontractors, etc.
• Complete detailed and accurate description of policyholder operations.
• Prepare audit reports showing analyzed data, calculations and classifications.
• Synchronize account with home office for retrieval of completed audits on a routine basis.
• Ability to travel routinely when audit type is physical, including some overnight travel.
