Job summary

AMERISAFE in the greater Atlanta area is seeking a Field Auditor to conduct virtual and/or on-site audits for policyholder accounts. You will ensure accurate premium calculations, proper classification codes and timely audits, aiming for at least 420 audits per year.

The role requires eight years of audit experience and a valid driver’s license. You will work independently from home and in the field, with travel as needed, and participate in pre-employment screenings including a background check

Qualifications

• Eight years of prior audit experience required.
• Experience in auditing, accounting or workers' compensation preferred.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Analytical and critical thinking with decision-making ability.
• Ability to work independently from home and in the field.
• Valid driver's license with reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Organize and manage a geographic territory of policyholder accounts.
• Schedule and complete audits virtually or at a location designated by policyholder.
• Complete interim audits within 90 days of policy inception and final audits within 60 days of policy expiration.
• Examine policyholder records including accounting, payroll and tax documents.
• Research and substantiate accuracy of policy classifications and contractor relations.
• Prepare audit reports showing analyzed data, calculations and classifications.
• Travel routinely when audits are physical, including some overnight travel.
• Support company culture of consistency, focus, ownership and service.
