Job summary

The Field Associate at Beeflow's Operations team will support the implementation and monitoring of pollination programs in the field. This is a field-based role requiring outdoor work and travel between farms as needed.

You will conduct data collection, monitor crop development and bee activity, perform basic beekeeping tasks, and assist with field trials and operational activities at client farms. Start date mid January 2027 with an estimated 4-week duration.

Responsibilities

• Monitor crop phenology and development throughout the pollination period.
• Monitor crop pollination and bee activity according to Beeflow protocols.
• Conduct field observations and collect accurate and timely data.
• Assist with field trial and research activities.
• Support the installation, monitoring, and maintenance of field trials when required.
• Perform basic beekeeping and hive-related tasks.
• Assist with the transportation, placement, and monitoring of beehives when required.
• Record and report field observations, findings, and relevant operational information.
• Support data collection during harvest or other stages of the crop cycle, when applicable.
• Follow Beeflow's operational, safety, and fieldwork protocols.
• Coordinate with Operations team members and client personnel as needed.

Job description

The Field Associate is part of Beeflow's Operations team and is responsible for supporting the implementation and monitoring of pollination programs in the field.

This role involves regular fieldwork and data collection, including monitoring crop development and pollination, supporting basic beekeeping activities, and assisting with operational and research activities at client farms.

The Monitor works closely with the Operations team to ensure that field activities are carried out according to Beeflow's protocols and that accurate and timely information is collected.

Work Environment

This is a field-based role. Monitors should be comfortable working outdoors and in different weather conditions, walking through agricultural fields, and performing tasks that may require standing, walking, lifting, and other physical activities.

The role may require travel between farms or field locations depending on the assigned service.
