Job summary

Alston Construction is seeking a Field Assistant to support the Superintendent on site. You will monitor subcontractors, assist with field tasks, and help maintain a safe, on-schedule project. Your role emphasizes quality, client relations, and adherence to budgets.

Required is a HS diploma, 1 year in construction, OSHA 30, First Aid/CPR, and a valid driver’s license. OSHA and safety certifications are essential for this role.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of one year construction field experience.
• Valid driver's license and insurability.
• OSHA 30-hour Safety Certification.
• First Aid/CPR Certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide general job-site assistance to the Superintendent.
• Monitor subcontractors’ work for compliance with standards and codes.
• Coordinate subcontractor crews and keep the site tidy and safe.
• Assist with job-site tasks such as cleanup and loading/unloading.
• Inform Superintendent of field problems, progress, and issues.
• Participate in project meetings.
• Assist with warranty work coordination.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
