Job summary

Kokosing Materials, Inc. operates multiple asphalt plants and terminals across Northeast Ohio, supporting hot-mix asphalt production through upgrades, maintenance and repairs.

The role requires teamwork, safety focus, and the ability to work at various plants and outdoor/indoor environments. This position is 1st shift, with opportunities to gain experience across different sites and tasks, including equipment operation, training, and paperwork submission.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Asphalt Plant Operations.
• Ability to work nights and weekends (on-call).
• Cutting and welding experience and able to pass certification.
• Must have mechanical knowledge.
• Crane rigging and signaling experience (certification is a strong plus).
• Able to work in confined spaces and with lockout/tagout certification.
• Possesses a class B CDL and a clean driving record.
• Able to operate manlifts and work at heights up to 125'.
• Able to lift 75 lbs and work in various environments.

Responsibilities

• Work both supervised and unsupervised.
• Perform tasks in a timely manner.
• Operate company equipment.
• Submit necessary paperwork as needed.
• Complete necessary training as prescribed by the company.
• Get along with others and represent the company positively.
• Follow directions of supervisors and project team members.
• Fill in for other duties at the Asphalt Plant as needed (Ground Man or Loader Man).
