Job summary

Tetra Tech is seeking a part-time junior-level Archaeological Field Technician based in Bloomington, MN. The role provides field support for archaeological surveys as part of a team or independently, with project sites across the Midwest, the Upper Midwest, and the Northern Great Plains.

Qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree in anthropology or archaeology (or 5+ years advocational archaeology), 1–5 years of environmental experience, strong communication, a valid driver's license, and

• Bachelor’s degree in anthropology or archaeology preferred; 5+ years of advocational archaeology if no degree.
• 1–5 years of relevant environmental archaeology experience.
• Knowledge of Midwest and Great Plains archaeology.
• Resident of Twin Cities Metro Area of Minnesota.
• Strong written and verbal communication.
• Valid driver's license with clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Conduct field activities at project sites, walking 10–15 miles per day.
• Perform shovel testing and screening.
• Conduct pedestrian surveys.
