Jacobs seeks full-time, modified full-time, or part-time archaeologists to support planning, engineering, and construction services for government, military, and commercial clients across the western United States.

The Senior Archaeologist path offers opportunities to work on projects requiring NHPA, NEPA, and other cultural resource regulations, with a focus on desktop and field support and collaboration with senior staff.

Qualifikationen

• B.A./B.S. in Anthropology with emphasis in Archaeology
• Completion of an archaeological field school
• Minimum of two years of professional archaeological field work with extensive construction monitoring
• Knowledge of computers and GPS equipment (FieldMaps and Survey 123)
• Willingness to travel to distant or remote areas for extended periods
• Ability to walk long distances over varied terrain and handle field equipment
• Ability to work 8–10 hour days in varying conditions
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong organizational and time-management skills
• Motivation to work safely with minimal supervision

Aufgaben

• Coordinate compliance with NHPA, ARPA, NAGPRA, NEPA and other laws
• Conduct archival research and background records reviews
• Conduct archaeological fieldwork (survey and monitoring)
• Prepare analyses and technical reports for cultural resources projects
• Evaluate eligibility of resources for NRHP and state registers
• Support senior-level cultural resources staff
