Job summary

Jacobs is seeking staff archaeologists to support projects across the western United States. The role includes desktop and field-based cultural resources support for government, military, and commercial clients, with NHPA/NEPA compliance guidance from senior staff.

Ideal candidates have a BA in archaeology or anthropology and field school completion, plus experience in surveys, monitoring, and GIS. Travel and 8–10 hour shifts are common, with hybrid/remote/office options.

Qualifications

• B.A./B.S. in Anthropology or higher with archaeology focus.
• Completion of an archaeological field school is required.
• Experience in surveys and construction monitoring.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate compliance with NHPA, ARPA, NAGPRA, NEPA and other laws.
• Lead archaeological fieldwork including survey and monitoring.
• Prepare technical reports and evaluate resource eligibility.
• Support senior cultural resources staff and project teams.
