Job summary

TRC Companies, Inc. is seeking an Archaeological Field Technician for the Columbia, SC office. The role involves collaborating with TRC archaeologists across Planning, Permitting, and Licensing, with travel and physically demanding fieldwork as part of a dynamic team.

The position is part-time/as-needed with the potential for full-time employment, requires a BA in Anthropology, and completion of a drug test and background checks. A strong commitment to safety and client service is essential.

Qualifications

• BA degree in Anthropology or related field.
• Some archaeological field experience in the Southeast preferred but not necessary.
• Good interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to work closely with others as part of a larger project team.
• Commitment to quality and safety.
• Strong work ethic.
• Three professional references with contact information (include with resume).
• Candidates must pass drug test and background checks prior to employment.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with TRC archaeologists in Planning, Permitting, and Licensing practice.
• Demonstrate enthusiasm for work with client service and technical excellence.
• Collaborate with others in a fast-paced environment to develop solutions for project challenges.
• Travel regularly; may require overtime and extended workdays/weeks.
• Walk long distances and perform physically demanding tasks in varying environments.
