Job summary

Waters is seeking a Field Applications Specialist to drive onboarding, training, and adoption of flow cytometry workflows for East Region customers. You will translate complex technologies into actionable workflows, train customers, and collaborate with commercial and service teams to optimize outcomes.

We expect hands-on cytometry experience, strong troubleshooting, and the ability to travel 60–70% to support field engagements and customer success across labs and sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in life sciences or related field.
• Hands-on experience with flow cytometry applications and cell sorting.
• Strong troubleshooting capabilities across complex workflows.
• Ability to translate scientific concepts into practical application.
• Strong training, communication, and presentation skills.
• Valid driver’s license with at least 3 years of driving history.
• Willingness to travel extensively (60–70%).

Responsibilities

• Lead customer onboarding and training to enable smooth adoption of instruments and workflows.
• Provide advanced application support and troubleshooting across multiple instruments.
• Partner with customers to optimize workflows and drive measurable outcomes.
• Identify gaps and recommend best-practice solutions in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
• Support expansion opportunities and contribute to customer success initiatives.
